Celebrating women! Many unique features and awards...AND tons of fun! Put on by women who know how to make triathlon special. Held at Big Portage Lake, just 12 miles west of Chelsea. Remote, beautiful, quiet, and safe. Mini sprint race designed for women trying their first triathlon.

Park Info: A State Park permit is needed to enter Waterloo Recreation Area. A one-day permit can be purchased on race day at the park entrance. The one-day park permit is $6.00 for residents of Michigan and $8.00 for non-residents. Annual passes may be purchased at any time.

Charity Partner: This year we are partnering with C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Women's Hospital. A portion of the proceeds will go to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Women's Hospital for research in childhood diseases. You may also add an additional donation during your registration process.

Course Descriptions: The swim is a clockwise loop in beautiful and calm Portage Lake. The bike is over slightly rolling hills following scenic paved roads. The runs are a combination of trails and roads with a few short hills.
Wetsuit Rule: Each participant shall be permitted to wear a wetsuit without penalty in this event up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Entry Fees Include: tech t-shirt, sponsor product samples, great food and drinks after the race, chip timing, and more
USAT Licenses: If you paid the USAT member's rate for your entry fee you will have to show a current USAT license and PHOTO ID to pick up your race packet. If you do not have your license or it has expired you will be required to pay an additional $10.
Non-USAT $10 Fee Explanation: The $10 fee for non-USAT members is for USAT insurance. The entire $10 fee is paid to USAT. USAT is the governing body for the sport of triathlon.

- Saturday, June 26 - 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Portage Lake Beach, Waterloo Recreation Area (race site) - Registration closes Friday, June 25th at NOON.
- Sunday, June 27 - 6:00 AM to 7:15 AM at the race NO RACE DAY ENTRIES.
Race Day Schedule
- 6:00 a.m. Transition area opens
- 7:40 a.m Transition area closes
- 8:00 a.m. Race begins
- 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Post-race celebration and athlete breakfast, finish area
- 10:00 a.m. Awards ceremony
Divisions: Individuals: 15-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 plus. - No Relays
Awards: Top three overall, top two masters, top two grand masters, top five in each age division, and two first timer categories - 1st place for 39 and under and 40 and over!

Courtyard Ann Arbor is another good place to check, it is about 30 minutes from the race site. Other possibilities are Holiday Inn Express in Chelsea (about 20 minutes from the race site), Hampton Inn South (about 30 minutes from the race site), Four Points by Sheraton (about 30 minutes from the race site), and Weber's Inn (about 30 minutes from the race site).
